Accessibility Statement
Murphy Creek Metropolitan District No. 3 is committed to making murphycreek.org usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We are continually improving the site and the documents we publish on it.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA (opens in new tab), the standard that applies to public entities under the Americans with Disabilities Act and Colorado law.
What we have done
- Text and links meet minimum color-contrast requirements.
- Pages have a logical heading structure and clearly marked header, main content and footer areas.
- Links and buttons describe where they go, and links that open a new tab say so.
- Interactive elements can be reached and used with a keyboard.
- The home page slideshow no longer advances on its own.
- We test the site with automated accessibility tools and correct the issues they find.
Known limitations
We are still working on the following:
- Some older PDF documents, such as past meeting minutes and resolutions, are scanned images that screen readers cannot read. We are converting the documents residents still use and will publish new documents in accessible formats.
- Some images do not yet have text descriptions.
- The Video Digest does not yet have captions or a transcript.
- Content and services provided by third parties, such as TownSq and linked documents from other organizations, are outside our direct control.
